Agreed. I wanted to get it but I really like playing my 5 string. I have cut my effects cord (at least for a while) as it sounds so much better bass to FOH. Maybe I'll cut my B string someday as it is more simple and basic, but I'm not quite ready yet...although this bass did tempt me.

Well I played it at a show last night and it turns out the bass is absolutely amazing. I wish it was a pound lighter but I think I can live with that. Also it has Bartolini b axis pickups in it and those things are awesome. I think I’m going to swap out the aggy’s in my other roscoe classic for those.

The treble has less bite than the aggy’s which I like because I play almost no slap stuff. It’s more rounded and full sounding. The staggered polls on the P pickup are pretty cool because you get heavy bass on the low strings and your high strings cut so I think it’s ideal for stuff I play like country and rock where you are holding that foundation but need those fills to pop between transitions. Tons of punch it felt like everything I did with my right hand was amplified significantly. I could go from whisper quiet to maxing the input on my amp for some growl. The P pickup seemed less colored. It’s a little like a really fat J bass pickup. It just sounded really good.. I’m trying to come up with explanations but most of the time I just pick something up and I either love it or hate it. I had so much fun playing this thing last night. It sounds exactly what I envision a j bass sounding like. When I play through the aggy’s I feel like something is off. It’s too compressed or something. I’ve never been a bart fan but these pickups are just really good... at least in that bass lol.

Greetings Roscoe owners. I just ordered this LG 3005 ash body with Jazz Bart’s. I’ve never seen one with jazz pickups. Cam anyone here speak from experience or maybe why this one has jazz pickups compared to the slanted soaps? GC said it was a custom made for a Roscoe endorsed player who regularly turns his stuff in for cash when he is supplied with a ne one. I think these are standard 60s position jazz position so my assumption is it will hav more of a jazz bite and clarity but hopefully none of the Roscoe mojo is lost

If that's the story GC gave you, I'm betting they made it up. Roscoe only has ONE endorser who gets free basses, and he doesn't ask for one often. And he doesn't sell them.
