Love this bass. Best “Jazz” I have owned or played. I did have major issues with the bridge though but the Babicz was a direct swap and kills it!
I also have a hip shot D tuner on it.
If anyone is wondering it’s the BT 7 that fits. It needs a slight reposition of the screws but this is the best match for the stock tuners.
I also bought an OBP 2 to drop in it but am liking the OBP 1. Might still change it, let’s see. Build quality is superb! Love this colour.
Also loving the fact it’s routed for a P as well.
I am living in Czech now and there aren’t any local dealers around as I want to buy a second one but with a P in the front position and maple board. Once I get it (find where I can get it first) I can pretty much leave the other basses at home as between the two I will be set for studio and the road. Really happy with it, well done folks at Roscoe.
If anyone knows who to talk to to order my second one in this part of the world lemme know.

Looks like a twin to my bass serial# 0008c , its the best jazz I have ever payed. Loving it!

Decided to put by Roscoe classic back to a jazz bass. I have a tort Roscoe classic 5 string precision cutout and Aguilar 5 string p pickup listed in the classifieds section.

was able to play it for an hour tonight. very very nice, but definitely not a vintage sound any more. every tone seems to be enhanced. that's before the preamp.

It is quiet for such great basses.
I am sadly selling mine in the classifieds, only because I am moving away from 5 strings. Otherwise I would keep it as these are really great basses.

I wonder why they decided to use poplar vs alder ( along wish Ash) on the Classics....less expensive? Is poplar heavier than alder?

Just received my passive P bass from Keith. I specified alder body. Very light, even for alder according to Keith. Haven’t weighed it but should. My jazz is poplar, heavier but is very resonant and sounds amazing.

Keith just updated their website, and it appears for their Classic and Custom Classic, according to the site, that alder and swamp ash will be offered.

I asked Keith if they are still doing poplar, and he said that though the wood is cheaper, is abundant in the area, and sounds great, he’s had complaints about the weight. So it sounds like Alder and Swamp Ash will be the go-to. I suppose if you anyone bought a poplar version, they could specify light-weight hardware. Keith put hipshot ultralight tuners on my p bass. Look great and work great. No neck dive.
