I recently bought a used 2018 Roscoe 5 string bass in REVERB, should arrive this week....What are the differences between the LG and the SKB? Also, how different is Rosewood to macassar on the bridge?

Heaaaavy!I bet that is one would really give you a stiff neck!![]()
LG body style is smaller than SKB. Wood on the bridge?
Stiff something when I seen that picture….
Now I’m trying to figure out and imagine the laminates I want for my signature neck.
Also, how different is Rosewood to macassar fingerboard?
Congratulations and here’s to it playing and sounding better than the other bass!Been playing a Sadowsky metro for 14 years. This beauty is mine now. Will play it for the next 15 years.
I’ll make it easy for you … wenge wedge neck!

Nice score! That’s got a gorgeous flame top. Sadowsky and Roscoe - two different flavors of excellent.Been playing a Sadowsky metro for 14 years. This beauty is mine now. Will play it for the next 15 years.
Thanks Staccato! My pleasure.@Bass Viking : Always appreciate your offerings and playing. Thanks!

I’m beginning to introduce that style into my bass playing. I tried it once before and it just felt strange on a bass due to the string thickness and spacing, but my recent attempt at it proved promising with more practice.
I have been a diehard finger style player, but lately have been using a pick for some things. Been changing/trying lots of things lately.
I've been playing in a church band since June where the worship music is much more aggressive/active than my previous 20+ years church band gig! Some of the uptempo songs, coupled with spurts of Shout Music for 10-minutes per, tires out my one & two-finger plucking styles!I'm hoping the use of a pick would give me another playing option, which will probably work better than asking the MD to slow things down.
