For those that always wondered what a Roscoe Single cut might look like ....

Try it with a Signature body. The lower horn would be better suited for that.
I know we're speaking hypothetically, but a singlecut adds weight. The SKB lower horn isn't a great design for seated playing, hence my comment.
To each their own, beauty in the eye of the beholder, etc. I've never liked single cut basses. I think the Century is the best body for balance both standing and sitting. The larger lower horn makes for better seated playing. The longer upper horn makes the balance and "reach" better when standing. IMHO of course.

And for the record, that pic was in my Roscoe photo library from quite some time back. I didn't generate it and quite frankly don't remember who posted it. It might have been Ubone (Steve) back in the day. He's a really talented graphic artist (as well as a really good bass player).

I also love the Classic P that I have. Especially the side jack. I wish all P and J basses did that.
I agree with this, but from a manufacturing perspective, it's one less hole to cut, hardware to mount, etc... that's one reason why you buy from a luthier and not a ginormous corporation, I suppose.

So this is the new to me 5 string passive P. Has flats for now, but as the songs I use the B string on are more 80's and 90's pop rock, I may toss some rounds on it for some variety. For sure leave the Roscoe P with flats which sounds amazing and maybe rounds on this one.
You won't find a rosewood board or pearl guard on 5 strings of this color from the factory. Some modding that was done by the previous owner. Makes it fairly unique for a Fender bass. The neck is surprisingly comfortable and "similar" to my Roscoe necks. More flat than your usual Fender.

But for the record, I do still have my Fender Player P-bass.
We can all co-exist together even though most of us have do have basses other than Roscoes.
