Yeah. I’ll probably just hang on to the LG3000. A Custom Shop Fender would be interesting but I already have my Roscoe P and it’s probably every bit as good.If it's magic beans, don't do it!!! Fool me once...
My LG3000 developed finish bubbles along the neck where the fingerboard and neck meet, mostly in and around the 10th to 14th frets. I contacted the shop I purchased it from (Club Bass). It turned out that the owner of the shop was himself, heading to the Roscoe shop on his way to Florida and suggested that I drop off the neck at his shop and he could drop it off personally. He contacted Keith, let him know he was coming and when he was heading back north.
Keith did the repair himself and had it ready for pick up for the trip north. I have not had any issues with it since.
All under warranty.

I’m sure you all remember Shane. This is just terrible and absolutely is gut wrenching to look at.
This is terrible and Shane is a very nice guy. Grateful he and family is ok and his house is ok.
Devastating! I would probably try a submersible fish tank pump. A small one and attach a hose and a small tip to spray clean water Inside a 5 gallon bucket filled with clean water and a touch of dawn detergent to clean out the insides and hopefully the pots and switches. Then airspray dry the insides. If the switches and pots work Fine if not maybe some electrical spray with lubricating properties.
After perusing Reverb’s Roscoe’s…. I sho am glad I went on my buying spree before inflation set in. I wonder if recession will reverse the effects? In other words, I caint afford no more used Roscoe’s at these prices. But I’m sure I have more than enough. I’d try to sell some of mine in this market but I’m a poor salesman lol
Prices are certainly high. I paid more for my SKB 3006 than I have ever paid for an electric bass but I am very glad that I bought it. I played it in church yesterday and I am thrilled every time I play that bass. I bought my Century 3005 from a guy who met me in a nearby town and I paid only $2100 for that one and that seems to be a bargain these days. It is also a very lovely bass.
Prices of most basses have gone up a lot in the last two years. I recently sold a Peavey Cirrus 6 that I got in a series of trades. One of those trades was with you, Scott. It sold in TB ads in less than a day for well over twice what I had in it. It is a seller's market these days.
The good news is I have all the Roscoe basses I really need. Uh....I think you do too, Scott!
I’m not on Reverb, but I think my LG3000 is priced nicely at $2,200 shipped. Maybe you need a break from all those 6er’s.
I think that’s right around what I paid for my SKB like 15 years ago. You’re obviously not hip to the current inflation price increases!
I recently bought my Century 5 for $2100 locally. I bought my SKB 6 for $3000 which is the most I have ever paid for an electric bass. That is a lot of money but considering what most are selling for I did really well.
I bought two lovely Roscoe basses for $5100 total. Not cheap but if you figure they were about $2550 each they were bargains.

The Ibanez Adam Nitti 6 is about what I paid for my Roscoe basses. It is a very nice Indonesian made bass with USA Bartolini electronics. I friend of mine owns one and he loves it. It weighs just over 11 pounds. The Bongo is a great sounding bass with fantastic electronics but the neck is too wide at the nut for me. I had one and it was very uncomfortable to play. The Yamaha typically also weighs on the sunny side of 11 pounds and costs more than I paid for my like new SKB 6.
Yes, basses are expensive and Roscoe basses are still a bargain.

@Chuck M : I called Ibanez and asked to speak with Mr. Ibanez, Ernie Ball to speak with Mr. Ball, Yamaha to speak with Mr. Yamaha, and Roscoe to speak with Mr. Roscoe.
At Roscoe, not only could I speak with one Mr. Roscoe, I could speak with two Mr. Roscoes. That's just one reason why I only want to play Roscoe basses, and none of the other basses mentioned.

Yes. The last time I called Roscoe Keith answered the phone. Keith has always been most helpful to me.
My view on Roscoe pricing:
They have been historically underpriced new (until the last few years) so prior to that buying one used was one heck of a bargain.
Thats great and all but in no way representative of todays prices. I just paid 35 for a fancy looking LG5 (blemish free) but were I to commission that same build (and wait a year) it would have cost me in the high sixes. So ... where's the rub?
