Nothing wrong with the one you have. It is a beauty. My Century 5 also has a Wenge fingerboard but it is not as figured as that one.

mine too. I saw something about wenge having better grain patterns when it is flatsawn, guessing ours are quartersawn. Mine has awesome figuring on the side though, so I can see it when playing/looking to make sure I don’t hit the wrong note

The fingerboard on mine is the same...great figure on the edges. I had not noticed that. Thanks for the info.

It’s interesting to see some of the builds that pop up on GC used and one there currently was sold by Rocket Bass back in 2015. That site still has the best samples it’s hard to pick my top 3.

These are my 3 forever basses but The most beautiful bass I have ever owned is the SKB3005. I have owned Alembic, Sadowsky, Yamaha, G&L, Fender, Peavey, MTD and a couple of Custom basses and none compare to the Roscoe. I almost sold it last year and I am glad I did not.

Yea Greg was/is huge for the Roscoe and bass community. Shame Keith decided to go direct to consumer on his dealers with no real savings for the customer. It get that its business but still a shame.

Well the real way to do it would be like Lull used to do it (they may still, I don't know), where direct cost more, but I'm sure Keith is doing what he thinks works best.

That's Tony Morton in the middle, former neck maker extraordinaire for Roscoe. Man, I loved his necks. Those super comfortable thin ones from 7-10 years ago. He landed at BVS in Greensboro many moons ago (see link below). Gard on the left, Keith on the right. Victor somebody?!? The tall guy in the back did their electronics assembly for a while, I think his name is Ryan? I don't think I ever met the guy standing between Gard and Tony...
