100%. I know I can make it through IL because we have salt and plows, it's KY, TN, and GA that I'm worried about with the ice! Still considering the options.

We’re not sure we’ll be able to drive 80 miles south on Saturday. That’s 3 days away. And it’s stopped snowing…for now. Bitter cold though.

That Fargo, ND gets cold as hell! I was stationed there in 1976-1977 and experienced bone chilling temps like -83 degrees chill factor and snow drifts up to the 2nd floor of 2-story buildings!

I don’t know how you guys deal with the kind of cold that I’m seeing on the Weather Channel! That’s just crazy weather!
It’s really a bummer that it’s peaking on the Christmas weekend when so many plan to travel to be with family over the holidays.

There is some wisdom in this statement. Decades ago during college I worked at UPS as a loader (tractor trailers), then a sorter, at a main hub. This time of year was almost indescribably crazy. Good news was that all the overweight and high value stuff was handled separately from the main sorting belts, but that was only one leg of a package’s journey. I wouldn’t want to have my Roscoe shipped this time of year and would rather wait until a few weeks after the new year for things to settle down a bit.

Yeah, the older I get the more I wonder as well. I suppose you get used to it. It gets old though. Being this cold and having this much snow before Christmas makes for a LONG winter. It can be hard. Little things like walking the dog become an issue. She’s getting pretty antsy. It’s supposed to be I. The upper 20’s next week I think so hopefully we can get her out for a walk again.

We’ve missed one “Christmas” because of weather. Looks like we could miss the 2nd one as well. We’ll see what Friday brings. Roads are still bad, and wind is not a good thing after fresh snow. Also worry about the car freezing up driving in the bitter cold.

I played last night in a medium size venue. I used my new Mesa Subway amplification which consists of a TT-800 head, 115 and 210 cabinets. I could have easily played with just one cab but like the way they sound together.

I took my Roscoe SKB 6 and my Century 6 fretless and intended to play both on the gig. During sound check I was really digging the tone of the fretless and stuck with it all night. I was once again amazed at the Roscoe Century 6 fl. It is so easy to play and the tone is fantastic.

The TT-800 has two channels, the Subway channel and the Boogie channel. I played through both and they are similar sounding flavors of awesome bass tone. The Boogie channel has a somewhat more complex tone...sort of thicker and rich with harmonics. I started on that channel and ended on the Subway channel. The Century is a very inspiring instrument to play. I had a great time.

I had intended to play the SKB 6 on one set but the fretless seemed to be perfect for the gig which was Christmas music plus jazz standards. Keith makes the finest fretless basses that I have ever played.

The Roscoe 6 string neck is by far the most comfortable 6 string neck out there. I think the fretless is Keith’s best bass. I think fretless really shines at church. All this talk of fretless and church makes me want mine back.
