Santa dropped this off via FedEx yesterday, literally just a few hours before the arctic blast arrived in Arkansas..
it feels great to have a Roscoe again,
I’ve had 4 previous Roscoes in the past, & have moved them all at some point.. Playing this Roscoe century 5 reminds me of how amazing they really are. Beautifully crafted, spectacular necks and honestly the ebony board is what really drew me in on this one… with the bart pickups/ Aguilar obp3, and the fine woods, it sounds authoritative & huge ! Many thanks to talkbass’s own Jesusguru for the Roscoe! And a huge thanks to Jome77 for encouraging me to take the Roscoe plunge again , Merry Christmas everybody!

What exactly do you mean by "3-piece top"? I'm not familiar with the term.

Like the top of the bass that SteveC has (or used to have!:D).
If Keith has a really nice piece of top wood that’s not enough bookmatched to do a top, he’ll add a 3rd piece in the center (that compliments the book matched pieces).

Here’s an example:

Welcome back Frankie!
That one has that classic Roscoe look!
Beautiful!
You don’t find many Roscoes with an Ebony fingerboard.

Thanks Joe! Indeed, I haven’t seen many Roscoes with ebony boards.. that is what really caught my attention on this one.. it really is spectacular in every aspect & is in near mint condition. It has the focus and power of my Modulus but has a warmer tone. I’m really floored by it, the real test will be on live gigs, when our festival circuit picks up again next yr. I’m excited!
