It’s very even sounding with the other strings Jon. I have them on a 5 string Fender Pro V (34 scale) and a Warmoth Gecko 5 fretless (35 scale) and the B sounds good on both basses. I’ve also got them on a Fender Jazz 4 too.
After the recent discussion here about strings I installed a set of TI flats on my SKB 3006. This bass has a heavy Mahogany body, Maple top and an Ebony fingerboard and it has more highs than my other Roscoe basses. My main amp is a Mesa Subway TT-800 and Mesa SW 115 and 210 cabinets. Through that rig the bass has more going on in the highs than I like. The SW 115 is one of the most hi-fi cabinets I have ever heard and I am amazed at the detail in the highs that it produces.
I had a set of extra long scale TI flats in my string drawer so I installed them yesterday. They sound and feel great. As you probably know, the TI's last a very long time and that helps offset the initial cost. I just did a touch up on the intonation and that is the only thing that I had to adjust to get the SKB playing very well and it sounds great.
I don't recall ever having TI flats on a fretted 6 string before. The B string sounds quite good and has more clarity than I expected.
My thanks to those of you who made the posts that inspired me to try the TI's on my SKB. I greatly appreciate how valuable it is to be able to share information here about our basses.

Hey Roscoe people, do you know if the classic series basses are 35" scale length for the 5 stringers? That might become a purchase this year.
There are several manufacturers that make a nice 34” low B
But I’ve yet to play any basses that have the low B that the Roscoe has…. Regardless of scale

After just having Keith do some final electronic tweaks, I just paid off my build and should have it shipping my way this week.
Build took longer than expected, but these last couple of years have been a struggle for EVERYONE so I completely get it.
I'll post some pics once I receive.. now to clear a spot in the stable....

Not sure why you wouldn't just sell it when you had the chance? You have a P bass as well right, surely that can cover all bases (basses?) in the meantime.

I suppose you’re right. Maybe I should contact him again.
Definitely contact the potential buyer. The delivery of you Roscoe is eminent. You can play the Yamaha for a few more weeks.
You can also call Keith and let him know that you don’t have a bass to gig with and really need that one finished.
I’m betting he’ll tell you that it can be finished ASAP.
Maybe you’ll get it in two more weeks!

Do you all think my asking price fair? I have it at $2K shipped. It'll be about $125-$150 to ship it. That leaves me making $1,850 or so for the bass. That seems fair to me. The cheapest new one on Reverb is $3,300.
