Noticed the uptick of ads which indicates the buyer pays for shipping or at least 50%?

Those fees do get a bit ridiculous… and I believe it also affects what PP includes on your 1099 at tax time, but I’m not a tax professionalI have noticed that. Plus now everyone wants you to use PP friends and family (for no fee) …. and no protection for you!
Times are changing for sure!
I’ve used PP Friends and Family but only at my discretion with TB’ers that I know and trust.![]()

Who are you and what have you done with Steve?
Another used Roscoe at GC, this time an SKB labeled as an LG, so it all evens out

Well, I’ll still have my Classic P and my Century 5. Sweet as it is, the LG was always a 3rd wheel. I thought I wanted a “jazz” bass and after selling my fretless 5 (kind of dumb) and got the Sadowsky 5. Didn’t like the feel. Could t sell so traded for a 4 string Sadowsky. Was on but traded for the LG as I wanted to be back in Roscoe land. When I get the Century back that will again be my main bass, maybe sharing some time/sets with the P.Who are you and what have you done with Steve?![]()

Also going to dump my expensive tube/analog board and go (probably) HX Stomp XL. Maybe that Bergantino Super Pre if it comes out soon.
Jumping back in here with some encouragement from Joe not to be a stranger. I've had numerous Roscoe 4 strings over the years, but this one is a keeper for me for sure. One of the best sounding and playing basses of any sort I've ever played. Just great pieces of wood and great craftsmanship.

It started life with a natural finish and P/J pickups:

Keith did the finish and I did the pickup mods later.

Dang you Joe, my Century (and a Pino p bass) has fret sprout now- I blame you entirelyView attachment 4923680
I bought that Zirocote SKB-3006 from Greg and I can testify that it was the REAL deal! Overall I'd actually put it above even the solid Exhibition walnut SKB-3006 that I owned.

It had such a phat wonderful tone and was fairly light weight too. Sadly I sold it after I had a bad case of fret sprout (overnight). I took care of the sharp edges but it just left me feeling paranoid that it would happen again. Just one of the many stupid reasons that I found to sell or trade some of my best basses!![]()

#6 for me
Dang you Joe, my Century (and a Pino p bass) has fret sprout now- I blame you entirely. I haven’t touched them in awhile, but the humidity in the house is at a good level, so who knows… oh well, another thing to take care of

Nothing but a big blue on my screen . Maybe repost smaller.Any of you guys have experience with small splits/chatter/chip at the heel of your fretboard? The below is over-exposed and over-enlarged to show better but you can see a couple of minor splits or chatter at the heel end between the D and G strings and again at the corner. I assume its from slapping(?) and don't want it to get worse. The straight grain pattern combined with the nature of Spalted wood doesn't help here I'm sure.
Epoxy?...
