Beautiful bass. Yeah, it’s a long wait, but it’s almost like a surprise when it finally arrives, right? I waited over 6 months (I know, not even close to 3 years) waiting for mine to get a gloss finish. Totally worth it.
Hey ya'll. Been a minute since I've been on this thread! My LG6 has been getting lots of playing time with local groups and is breaking in beautifully.

Yes, that was one of several happy surprises… blue matching sig and logo, matching diamond wood nut, and a nice TLK gig bag, all at no cost with a standard plus model. I guess he was making up for the long wait.
Wow! Didn't notice the Diamondwood nut until you mentioned it. It blends in so well with the headstock cap.
Honestly, I don't know how you lasted waiting 2 years 11 months and 5 days! That would have been a rollercoaster ride for me!
I just finished a new build (and I know that I said I'd never do another, but I was able to take over an in-progress build that was 3/4 done) that lasted a total of 4 weeks and 1 day and I was on pins and needles the entire time!
You are quite a patient man!

For those who have owned both Standard and Custom/Signature models, do you think there is a huge difference in sound between the custom Bartolini pickups in the Custom/Signature models vs the CB pickups in the Standard/Plus models? I know placement and wood choice makes a big difference, but I would hate to commission a bass and not end up with that classic Roscoe sound (if I end up going for the Standard Plus with the CB pickups).

The CB pickups are more open, even and dynamic......the classic Roscoe sound is with the custom Bartolini pickups. they have more low mid emphasis built into them. They'll be more compressed than the CB pickups as well.
Dumb question: which are the Bart Quad Coils? CB? I love the tone of my quad coils
The Classic Roscoe sound is very connected to the Roscoe Bartolini Quad Coils paired with the Bartolini 3-band preamp. You can get any of the Roscoe models with the Roscoe Bartolini Quad Coils (std on the Custom and Signature and optional on the STD model).
As Andy stated, the Bartolini CB’s (Classic Bartolinis) are a bit more open sounding. But IMO start off with the recipe that Roscoes are famous for, The Roscoe Bartolini Quad Coils and Bartolini preamp. You can always tweak it from there. All of the models have that Roscoe tone though.
Not a dumb question at all! The Qual Coils are the original dual coil Bartolini pickups, just with more wiring options available. Rosce's custom Barts are based off of the duel coils I believe, but wound to have more low mids. the Quads that you have are very close to the Roscoe pickups!
I only have standard plus models. I think they sound, feel and look as much like a Roscoe as any upper model.

Congrats on the Roscoe! A fun surprise (if you didn't already know) is that the neck P pickup area should also be routed for a J pickup under that pick guard. You could change out the P and have a full jazz bass later if you wanted (but that looks like a great P setup as well). I myself have a 5-string Century with the PJ setup, and I love it. Super versatile for gigs that have songs from Sam Cooke to Bruno Mars.
I feel there is a difference, but they can both sound like a Roscoe. I currently have both types of pickups (a Custom LG with Roscoe-wound Barts, and a Century Standard with CBs). While they sound different for sure, they all sound like a Roscoe to me. The Custom barts in the LG sound so good, like @JOME77 and others have said, darker, less highs to me, better mids (and the LG has the angled pickups, contributing a lot to how it sounds). The CBs in my Century 6 sound so good, brighter and snappier, like what I'd use for a smooth jazz-style sound, or anything requiring that high-end definition as well as low-end oomph. That said, I took the Roscoe barts out of a different Roscoe (my Signature Century) and put in Nordstrand Big Splits, because the Roscoe Barts were too dark for me in that bass and I wanted a more balanced sound.
If I was only going to have 1 bass, I'd want Roscoe Bart pickups with 3-way switches installed on each (parralel/single coil/series) so I could have the best of all tonal worlds. Best of luck with a possible new build!
Thanks all for the great info about Roscoe pickups. It sounds like I could still get that classic Roscoe tone from a Roscoe equipped with either pickup, but for what I want, I should start with the custom wound quad they are known for and go from there.
