Roscoe Club

Not really Roscoe related but does anyone else have something for sale on the new format Talk Bass that feels like nobody's even looking at the Talk Bass for-sale ads anymore. It seems like the for-sale ads here never change anymore (same things for sale every week). I've had a Hip Shot Black .708 black bridge for sale for several weeks and it's like it's invisible. Items like that have traditionally sold very quickly. Maybe it's just the economy but things seemed to slow considerably after the TB upgrade.

Other than that, Rock on Roscoeheads!

How can Roscoe spec Bartolini pups be identified?
I've done my due-diligent google research and cannot find any definitive answer. Is the label or model name writing on the back different when it’s a Roscoe?
On my older SKB 3006 (sn3959), the back of the pups have the copper plate from before Bartolini started the epoxy encapsulating. They have etched into the plate: 100P46K-B (neck) and 100P46C-T (bridge). There are also 10 total wire contact points on the back of each but they don’t match the diagram of either the dual-coil or quad-coil found on the Bartolini website. I’m assuming mine are dual coil because there is a tap switch which gives me a single-coil option (which gives off the signature hum when one pickup is soloed).
I’m asking because I’d really like a quad for the neck so I can add a 3-way switch to get P-dual-reverse P. I’d add a second 3-way to make the bridge pickup neck-dual-bridge, and rewire the original switch as an Active/Passive switch.
Also, when about did Roscoe start using custom Barts? I think I had found the answer at one point but can’t find it again.

And also, Hi! My name is Michael, long-time lurking, seldom posting, Roscoe fan! I’ve played many brands of bass and for many years was using an MTD635 as my studio jobbing and theater pit bass. This SKB3006 I recently acquired beats it to bits! At this point, I’ve stopped using any other brand bass guitar and have sold are am selling the rest (still keeping a four-string Fender MIM P I outfitted with Klein ‘59s). Here are my three, two I acquired through TB:

Interesting that I just contacted Bartolini to help me identify the pictured pickups. Doug Somervell was incredibly helpful and wrote the below description. These are custom Roscoe pickups and the current part/model numbers they use.

Original Quads

76= the string sensing width in Millimeters
P4= the size and shape of the shell
5= it is for a 5-string!!!
32=the 3 bass strings are over one coil, the 2 treble strings are over the other
K= Bright Original quad coil
B= Neck position

C=original quad coil
T= Bridge position.

3’s a crowd but 4 are the horsemen of the basspocalypse! :) I’ve been keeping an eye out for one more, likely an LG3005 fretted. I might consider swapping out the Custom Classic for an LG, but I’ve been thinking about switching the aguilar p’ups currently in there with a Klein P/J setup. Roscoe Barts are my personal favorite tone, but if you want absolute vintage tone in a P or J shape, to my ear, Klein Pickups are all they claim to be.

Welcome. Enjoy. Nothing like a Roscoe fretless.

I have 3 and am pretty happy with them. It's a nice feng shui number. Classic P. Fretted Century 5. Fretless Century 5. Not much I can't do with those three basses. I already have trouble deciding which one to use most of the time.
