Roscoe Club

I'm gonna eventually be sorry I did this. Maybe.

I'm a single coil jazz guy. I've tried tons of other stuff. Yep. Single coil J5 guy.

So, all you Roscoe guys with single coil J5's, show me what you got, and wax poetic about them and such. Thanks.

....if you're measuring things, you're not playing them. ;) Being a bit of a smart@$$ here, of course, but it holds true - if it feels good, it IS good. The measurements are of little real-world value IMHO.

I pretty well agree with this.
I know "by the numbers" about what I like.
But: that doesn't always feel right on this or that bass, or, with this or the other strings.
So, I'll start by putting things where I more lor less like them, by the numbers, and then tweak it till if feels right from there.

I'm expecting Pacman to stop by soon...and Greg from Rocket.....RyanL.....there are a few cats out there that have something to share with you. 8-)

Chef, here's my Century Standard 5 with Nordstrand NJ5F single-coil pickups. I replaced the stock Bartolini humbuckers. The Nordstrands rule. Not that the bass sounded bad before, but now it's just a snarling, growling beast and more of what I need for cutting through in a two-guitar rock band.
