Roscoe Club

Just got back from Greensboro. A good hang as always! Keith gave my CS 5 a slight tweak and it's playing like a million bucks. I also took a look through the woodpile, probably north of 100 pieces and narrowed it down to these three, one of which will go on an ash body with a single MM pickup and a fretless black diamondwood board. SPOILER ALERT: I already picked the winner. But curious to see what you guys would choose. L to R: Prima vera, Mango, Koa.

Ash body, Maple neck, dark Diamondwood fingerboard, screams KOA!

What will the position of the single pickup be?

Larry said if I send him the neck he could do it for about $100.
That leads to a question I've had for a while...
Is there a torque spec for the neck screws ?
In support of one of my other hobbies I have a small torque wrench preset at 65 inch/lbs that seems like it might be a reasonable value.
Everything else I have is in ft/lbs and I am skeptical of their accuracy at low settings...

I am not sure, I have never seen Keith put a torque wrench on the neck bolts but that is not to say his air driver isn't set to a specific torque.

The one on the right totally looks like a pair of corduroy pants.

No torque specs, when it's tight enough, it's tight enough. ;)

That's what I thought, when I have a neck off I just tightened the bolts until they felt tight without going gorilla on the bolts. For me, once I have all bolts in place and slightly snug I tighten the two toward the headstock first then the back two bolts the same way I would do if I am adding a shim.
