Roscoe Club

Me either. Thank goodness for TalkBass or I would have never found the best playing - and looking - basses made. Nice people, too.

(Thanks! :) )

I wish I could make up my mind. Greg has F005 being built which should be a great bass - jazz pups on mahogany.

Then these come along...

Then there's that used SKB3006 in the classifieds...

My head spins! Especially as the pair of Centuries I have are amazing and do all I need. Like I told my wife, I just feel like I should have 3 Roscoes. Not sure why, just seems like a good number.

I've had three but now down to two. One is in the works and another in the planning stages.

This is my dream stable:
Century 3006 Roscoe Bart (Currently own)
SKB 3005 Nordy DCs (Currently own)
Century 3006 fretless
SKB Standard Plus 5 Aggie PJ
Mystery five string JM TBA

We've just broken ground on the new house so, my bass fund has been seriously depleted. Not to mention some unexpected medical bills as well. Getting the last three in the stable might take a little while longer than it took to get the first three.

Hey guys,

Might be asking for it in a Roscoe thread, but I'm wondering if any of you diehard Roscoe guys own/gig other basses? Just curious how "fanatic" you/we are?

I have a Skjold Lion's Pride 5 (jazz style) and Skjold Skjoldslayer 5, which are my main gigging basses.

The Roscoe OWNS the fretless territory! Just amazing!:bassist: I get compliments on its tone ALL the time!

I would love to get a fretted JJ SKB - ash body, maple neck and fingerboard, JJ pickups, spalted maple top.....more of a recurring dream than anything else. Maybe someday.....

I guess I'm not a "diehard", but I still play fender P and Jazz basses on different gigs. I could use my roscoe on all gigs, but I like to switch it up. Also, many of the older cats that hire me would frown on anything other than a passive fender 4. I'm cool with that because they are buying what they want.

I used to. But my since I got the JJ, I've sold every non-Roscoe I had (with the exception of a Rob Allen MB2). I'm not really interested in other brands at this point.
