I could never imagine buying a Roscoe LG, Century, or SKB with a distressed finish. That's just completely nuts.
But on those Classics? I love it and the distressed ones look so much better than the non-distressed. A bass that shape just needs to look aged.
I'm still trying to come to grips with the fact that a brand new Roscoe is made and then the finish is totally destroyed! And on purpose!
I've got to admit though they really look authentic. I just can't get to the place where nicks, dents and wore out paint in the finish make me happy ..........
But then again, my wife won't let me wear blue jeans with holes in them either.![]()
Also, when you put the first ding in your bass, it hurts and what hurts more is when someone else puts the first ding in your bass for you.![]()

Peggy will probably let you get one of these. She's used to living with a relic. LOL.
Badump bump.
Thank you and try the veal. We're here all week. Oh and be sure to tip your waitress.

Well, I know the boys in G'boro sold another one today![]()
Jon, did you succumb to the Roscoe Relic?
Man is that gonna be a looker! 4-string or 5?Guilty as charged! Classic Custom, lake placid blue over dakota red, maple board with black blocks and binding, b/w/b pickguard. It'll look like a refin that's worn. I'm pretty stoked!
