Mono for me
I assume you mean the $300-$400 Levy bag not the $120 bags.I have a Mono bag (I think it came with a Roscoe, at one point), a ProTec, one of the new TKLs, and a Levy leather bag. The Levy is *by far* the highest quality bag. I've had it for close to 20 years, and it's been around the world several times. Still looks brand new. None of my other bags (well, except the TKL because it's brand new) have held up at all. The Mono has broken straps, etc, etc...

Yeah, for sure. But, price vs quality it's hands down a great bag. And, after all, some Roscoes are over $5k. Seems like a worthwhile investment. I should mention I owned a Reunion Blues double bag and it was replaced, twice, in about 5 years. No comparison at all.
By the way guys, if anyone has a Roscoe fretless that's not getting much use, I'd love to talk. I've got a fretted that might like a new home...
He’s in Minneapolis...just a few couple hundred miles south of me.Hey Pacman
With all due respect, I would beg to differ with you. Glenn Cronkhite was the original Reunion Blues guy - actually he is the guy who invented the gig bag. When he left Reunion Blues the quality went downhill. I have an original Reunion Blues/Kronkhite bag from 1976 which is still cranking. It's beautiful and it has been around the world a few times too, with zero problems or repairs. It has kept my precious PRS #11 safe and sound for 40 years now.

The Levy stuff is good, but if you are spending that kind of money - and if you want the real deal - I would go with Glenn:

I know Joel has a really nice one! Come to think of it, you might remember that one.![]()
Which part would you like to differ with? That my bag(s) *weren't* replaced twice? Or that the quality of my Levy's bag is far superior to those 3 Reunion Blues bags I had?
It's great you had good luck with RB. My experience was completely different. Not really a point on which we can argue.
