Roscoe Club

Cool Keith!
Where you staying this year?

I'm really looking forward to the GTG this year! Lot's of nice new basses to check out and some great fellowship with some really good bass playing friends!

I'm hoping that some of us can make a run up to Macon and tour the ABB "Big House".

My wife and I are staying at the Hilton Garden. We stayed there last year and liked it. I'm definitely looking forward to it. A mini vacation with lots of basses to play is hard to beat.

It would be cool to check out the big house but I already have plans afterwards as the Gators will be playing Tennessee.

Squiggly line? I love to hear pilots use those technical terms they learned in flight school. :ninja:

:D:D

God Bless, Ray

Oh, we have a whole lot of those "technical" terms. Things like:

One taco
Knives and spoons
Fish finder
The Box
School House
Puzzle Palace
Airport Appreciation
Lean over
Buckets
Go levers
Bitching Betty
Rabbit
George

If a something in the aviation biz has a technical term, chances are that we have a much more relaxed word for it. It's one of the many ways we fight boredom. ;)

Not to derail but... it looks like my bass has been shipped! Looking forward to gigging it. I'll let you guys know how a 30inch, 16.5mm spaced roscoe 5 string holds up. I know one thing for sure, both of my hands should be very happy.

Also - some of you will be able to check it out on the 21st at the gtg.

Stoked.

Awesome, man. Keep us posted and pics are fun! Nothing like New Roscoe Day.....:bassist:

Now I'm even more stoked. WOW! Very pleased. ImageUploadedByTalkBass1378336878.434937.jpgImageUploadedByTalkBass1378336890.399725.jpg

Looks great Keith! It is definitely something different. If I was just to glance at it I would have thought that it is one of Roscoe's new LG guitars (which are also sweet BTW).

Your bass screams "TENOR!!!" to me. At the GTG I'm going to have a hard time not trying to throw some piccolo strings on it. I can't wait to hear it. ;)

Ok, You gotta 'splain the meanings.... Google was of no help. ;)

And Gard, Trust me I know. Just an attempt at light humor.

:D

Ha. I can see what you mean. I've been playing a short scale mustang with a cover band for the last 8 months so I've grown accustomed to the look, feel, etc. There are trade offs but I've become very comfortable with a short scale and prefer it for most of my current playing situations. It really helps when doing multiple 4 hour gigs a week.

What are you bringing to the gtg?

Awesome Keith! That fingerboard really looks good with the tint on the body! Really looking forward to hearing your comments after it arrives. Even more looking forward to seeing and playing it in person!:)

Man! Look how much real estate is behind that bridge!!!
