Mark,
Here's a pic from BBG's site:

Anyone try their Roscoe through a TC electronic class D head like the bh250, 500 or 800? Interested in putting one on a pedalboard, using the effects and DI capability, and going direct to PA with it (class D heads, among others, don't need a speaker load to operate). Thoughts?
I think you'd need to really, really like the TC effects or have one already paid for available for that to make sense... No reason you can't of course. But surely there are other smaller, lighter, cheaper, more power efficient ways of adding effects and a quality DI to a pedal board. Since you ask ... ;-)

The reason I'm considering the TC series instead of just a DI is because it has a passable tuner, built-in effects that I can change out (toneprint), a DI, and I could rip it off the board and power something with it if I had to or wanted to. The bh250 sells used for $200 all day, putting it well within the range of a respectable dedicated DI pedal.

Not a bad idea. Provides all that you state above and is a great backup amp.
Great “thinking outside the box”!

Well I haven't had the "new to me" Roscoe 2 weeks yet and I've already made a modification.
I replaced the plastic concentric bass and treble knob with metal knobs. You wouldn't believe how much better the bass sounds! Much more sustain in the low end ....... :D :bassist:

Could you provide a link to the knobs? That look sharp!

I’ve never understood why Roscoe uses that cheap looking plastic knob mixed with the metal ones. You would think with 3-$5000 bass they would do better on that.

I've always thought the same thing Shane. That's the first thing I replace when I get a new Roscoe.:)

If I was really smart I'd remove them and re-install the plastic concentric knob when I traded or sold the bass. Then I'd have them to install on the new Roscoe.
I must have ordered a dozen of those concentric metal knobs. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

I used a TC RH750 head but kept it behind me in a flight case that worked fine with no cab. (I’ve changed now to having a Noble DI on my pedalboard. Have you looked at the new TC spectradrive pedal instead maybe? Seems like it would be better suited to a pedalboard. It doesn’t have all the effects available for it, just TonePrint for drive and compressor.

Ok, for now (this weekend's gig) I'm picking up an Aguilar Tone Hammer DI locally. Thanks for the input on the TC head. I'd need to hear the Roscoe through the TC for a while before I could roll up to a gig with it; I trust Aguilar stuff because I am already familiar with their preamps. Time will tell!

I'll report in on my FIRST EVER non-studio gig that is 100% IEMs. New band, new genre for me (modern country), new IEMs (A4 arriving today), first ever pedal board (I don't even have the board yet), new DI, new wireless for bass and for iems...as long as I have my Roscoes, I'm pretty confident. :headphone::greedy::thumbsup:

I just took delivery of the cocobolo-topped LG 3005. Sorry, no pics of my own yet, but it's in great shape and the cocobolo is even more beautiful in person.

The Wilkinson bridge had to go! The D string was buzzing badly against the saddle. Fortunately, at some point some previous owner had acquired a newer replacement bridge. It looks like the current Hipshot bridges, and fit right over the 3 screw holes left by the Wilkinson. No more buzzing! However, it doesn't quite cover the two front screw holes from the Wilkinson. Have other folks swapped out the Wilkinson bridge? With what?

It’s really different from my Bordwell and Curbow, but it’s growing on me.

I’m having some problem with the electronics though. I suspect it may be a bad battery connector, but I haven’t had a chance to investigate further, and this is an older model with the 2-band and no passive bypass. So, I haven’t really heard what it sounds like yet...
