Roscoe Club

A few pics of me at a local blues jam last night. Let my friend try it out on a few tunes and he was impressed as well. I am much happier with this bass with the bartolini pre over the aguilar obp-3

I can't say (never played or heard one) but it is a pretty one!

I did just get a P-bass though, but not a Roscoe P-bass.

Yeah, it's nice. Still $2,000 when I'm trying to save is fairly steep - even though I know what I'm getting in a Roscoe.
I have a friend who's doing a "parts" P bass (with some nice parts) that in the end will be a very classic looking two tone burst/rosewood type of P bass. He's bringing it to a GTG next month in Minneapolis that I'm going to attend. I may see what that is like first. He's not asking very much (about a 1/4 of the Roscoe) so for a bass I'm not too sure I'll play or keep (I never keep 4 string basses it seems) maybe a lesser amount invested until I know for sure...We'll see. Maybe Greg will make me an offer I can't refuse. It's also tough when my wife actually likes the bass and would MAYBE put up with a purchase. Being fiscally responsible is not fun.

Parts basses can be great but the resale is so low you can't help but loose money on them. I had one some years back that I would love to have back. It was a Lakland body/bridge with J/J pu's and a Moses graphite neck that had Moses on the headstock. My last name is Moses so I should have kept that one. I had a John east preamp in that one. I have no idea what I traded it for.

I just don’t see how anyone that’s played a good 5 string bass could go back to 4 stringers. All I can say is good for you as that will leave more 5’ers for me lol.

Oh I've still got 3 5 string basses (and they aren't going any where). That doesn't stop the 4 banger from being a blast to play (especially on the classic rock stuff). I've got a 4 string Jazz and a P bass now and they're getting most of the playing time.

I put the 3 banger up , isn't she lovely !

I think for symmetry, one should play this through a 3-speaker cabinet configuration. :) Some really nice options out there!

Technically, this Bergantino HG410 is a 4-speaker cabinet but the 4th speaker is inside. I was going to reference the HG310, but its appearance looks like a 2 speaker cabinet, with the 3rd speaker inside.
