The only thing that I'd change is the Hipshot Type B to a Type A bridge. I just don't like having to put the string ball in the bridge slot and then having to slide it to the side (so easy to scratch the top). Plus, I prefer being able to tweak the string spacing a bit.

If anyone is in the vicinity of Asheville NC, Keith Roscoe will be at the Asheville Bass Hang this coming Monday, October 8th at Isis Music Hall in Asheville, and bringing with him a bunch of basses for everyone to check out. I believe that Roscoe uses a stock Bart NTMB preamp with Bass, Mid and Treble set at +/-15dB@30Hz, +/-13dB@250Hz or 800Hz, and +/-18dB@10kHz (respectively).
Tobias uses a proprietary designed Bart preamp. The differences are probably related to where the center frequencies are for the 3 EQ controls. I'm sure that you could call the MTD shop and they could tell you the specifics.

Just wondering,I like their sound as well.Since I seen here so many pre-amp swaps it made me wonder if anyone has done this swap. I always wanted to do the Demeter but never got to it.

I always thought MTD's Barts were not at all "Bart-ish". I knew they had custom pickup specs but didnt realize the preamps were customized as well. But that makes sense.
I personally like the tone a lot better in the Roscoe Bart pickups and Preamp combo over the MTD. The build is incredible on the MTD as well as the Roscoes but the tone is much better IMO in the Roscoes.

The only MTD's Ive heard and thought "I want that tone" are the new Super 5's, they have a nice thickness I dont hear in their other basses. I wonder if the electronics are different, or if its a pickup placement thing alone. The x35 series always sound a little too scooped and pingy for my tastes. I'll take the thick, deep Roscoe tone any day.
I believe the MTD Bart pickups reverse-P split coils inside and have a lower number of windings/lower impedence/lower output for wider frequency response, so the preamp includes an extra buffer/boost module. That's my recollection, anyway...
The Supers have dual-coils that are splittable, so they are definitely different from the standard MTD Barts.
I’ve alao seen in the MTD build stuff on FB and IG that they sometimes say “super electronics” so maybe the pre is tweaked as well...
I just played a high school homecoming gig...at a very conservative, very expensive, private school. Ironically, we played Footloose. That was weird. Tuition there costs multiple times what I paid for college 15 years ago.
