Roscoe Club

Scott, good to see you back playing Roscoe. Which Standard are you getting back?, you had a couple of those.

Mark

Mark I traded my Century 5 a few months ago and I got it back today. Here are all four of them. Will take a family picture soon.

And...... just so it’s clear..... you don’t have to “buy” new basses to get get new basses. Trading is responsible for most of what I have currently. This also allows you to pay down debt and still have fun. Now if I could just stop buying pedals.

I hear you. At the prices they are now a guy would go broke ordering new Roscoe's!
I forgot that you had my former JM model. That was one of the best playing Roscoe's that I've owned. Very unique sounding Roscoe.

Yes sir. I was quickly made aware that buying New Roscoes was not something I could maintain at the level of “new” Basses I like to acquire but trading for used ones was something I could pull off occasionally with the amount of trade bait I have on hand lol.

Yes that JM Century is by far the best bass I’ve ever owned I think. I’ve had some great Roscoe’s but this one just feels perfect every time I pick it up.

I started with used. My current Roscoe and both fretless Roscoes were new builds. My one and only current Roscoe was built for me. I picked out the top. My 2nd fretless was also new - picked the top and stuff. It was expensive, but they were going to be "the last basses I bought" so I went for it. I do still have the fretted bass. Most of my basses in the past - Roscoe and others - were bought used, traded for, etc.

I have a very nice modded fretless Roscoe Century Standard 5 in the classifieds! There probably aren't many fretless Roscoe basses like this one!

Oh, I forgot about the like mint Roscoe LG that is modded with a Demeter BEQP-1 that comes with the original Bartolini preamp! Almost one of a kind!!!

Looks like you're doing some spring cleaning Ray!
Nice basses. They'll make someone very happy! ........ you've got way too many basses anyway!:)

I blame you for this, @JOME77. You just HAD to make me listen to “Song For America”. I’ve been listening to a ton of Kansas since, and owning a Ric became mandatory. Dave Hope had a wicked tone back in the day, and whoever mixed SFA deserves a big, wet kiss from us bass players.

Thanks to @armybass for the Ric hookup. Scott is a great guy to deal with!
