Roscoe Club

I play guitar also. A real nice, quality made acoustic guitar is a sweet sounding instrument! My first acoustic was an Ovation with the aluminum neck and bellowing back. :D I loved that guitar, but I didn't know what real guitar love was back then.

These are my 6 shooters now!

For me the biggest issue is that it requires playing Rotosounds and with a pick. I love the sound but hate doing either of those things as far as my hands are concerned.

Love playing with a pick (love the attack) but don't love the feel of the Roto-Sound Swing bass strings. Kind of like playing a bastard file!

Oooohhhhh what a sexy bass. How’s that Sadowsky pre?

Thanks! I like using the Sadowsky pre to help shape what I send to the house from what we experience on the stage, plus it’s down on the floor where it’s easier for me to get to for any adjustments than the Genzler on the cabinets.

This looks fantastic and makes me miss my old GBE600 and Avatar 2x12 + 2x10 setup!

Avatar makes great sounding cabinets and these cabinets work very well for the church. With the two cabinets the smaller 2x10 can be moved to the choir rehearsal room, when needed. These cabinets are used just for stage presence and helps me to hear when my IEM fades out.

Let us know it you're coming so we can make sure that we have plenty of food and drinks.

Hope to see some of you Roscoeheads there.

Did you buy the Steve C p bass from Rocket? :D

Also, since we’re talking gtg’s, are you going to the Chicago one April 14?

On #1 - it has an "R" on the headstock, and a P pickup, but it is not the SteveC Pino. Steve, you allowed to continue pining. :)

On #2 - There's a Chicago gtg on 14-APR? Cool! What are the details? I'm in town, but I'm currently 'on' for both churches that day. I could take one off, though. ;)

A good chuckle at #1... laughing with Steve, not at him

As for #2 US: Midwest - 2019 Chicago GTG at Serek Basses April 14th

Killing some time this morning with Brent Mason's tune "Blowing Smoke".
Man! I had to slow it down 15 BPM to play that one lick! I guess that's why it's called "Blowing Smoke"!:)

Playing this song reminds me why I love the Roscoe low B!
