It's kinda tricky to get that little cut out in the shot . It's a super cool design . Did I tell you how much I love this bass !
You’d think. I do pee a lot as I head toward middle age + but this is the “I’d like a P bass but I’m so spoiled by my 5” debate with myself filled with enough circular logic to drive a guy nuts.Is this an old age problem?

I won’t go to a 4 as I know I will only play a 5 at church (no other gigs for me). I have a very sweet Lakland JO 4 and it’s barely been played (at home) for the past several years.
I have had several high quality P5’s and eventually they did not work for me. I still am on the fence on a very nice PJ5 I have
Maybe I love the sound of a P.... except as it appears when I am playing one
I want to like a P but just can't seem to jive with them. I've had a couple of PJ's which I kept around for a while but I think it's J's and buckers for me.
I’m just joshing you- I know what you mean. I think we all know about you and that bass... i keep wishing someone would buy that Century 5 he still has- if it weren’t for the fact I don’t like Aguilar preamps, I’d probably have caved by now. Not that I need another bass...
This is my thing as well. Although when my guitar player and I were at a store and I had a P we went through a few tunes and he was like, yep, that works on a P. So does that. And that.
@campbems, I don't own a Fender and I don't consider anything that I own as being a cookie cutter, unlike Devon basses. But I am looking forward to seeing your new Roscoe showing up in the Classifieds within a few months or sooner!
Yeah ... but ... look at the angled headstock ... there is a hell of a luthiery job there I have to admit ... mh ...

So the difference is anywhere from $500 to basically even. I've always liked playing something that others weren't. I avoided Fender for years because of this mentality. I did play jazz basses (usually modded) here and there over the years. I have matured a bit. I'm not anti-Fender, but I also like my Roscoe's.

That’s a great deal on the Rosco P bass at Rocket. If want to keep the budget way down, the new MIM Fender Player Bass is a great bass. I’ve played a couple as good as US Fenders.
