Agreed- once you get used to that low B... i have a '74 Fender Jazz (birth year bass) and while it is a blast to play and sounds great, I do feel like I'm missing something with it. I remember a BP article long ago when I think Nathan East said playing a 4 felt like he was missing a finger- I'm not that drastic (or talented), but I understand.Nice. I was playing my G&L JB-2 Tribute last night for a while. It was fun/fine...until Uptown Funk came up in the playlist. Really need the B string for that tune. That's why I stick to my 5 for gigs.
