How many left on the forum do we have in production right now?
.....and let the count down begin!!!!
Do you really have to do this all the time?

I believe I was the last on the forum to put in an order. Haven't heard anything yet. Does it help to be the squeaky wheel?
Gary. Nothing wrong with making sure that you're on the Roscoe radar!![]()

On a topic other than new Roscoe basses, as I've mentioned a time or two, I've been gigging live lately and in the process gotten a bit back into amps and cabinets (mainly amps). I've found my "I don't care how heavy it is" rig (Genz-Benz GBE750/Berg HT322) but I'm still searching for the amp to pair with my Berg HD-112. So far I sold my TFunk 550B, tried a MB Big Bang, Berg Forte, Genzler 800 and a Mesa D800+. All really good amps but none had the light come down from heaven and shine upon the rig ......
So, against my better judgement (and a bit in desperation) I traded the Mesa for an Aguilar AG700. I say that because I've tried the AG500 (the one with 2 channels; years ago) and it didn't pair well with my Roscoe (couldn't get a clean input signal). I also ordered a new TH500 and it sounded terrible with my then Berg HT112. Very nasal sounding (sent it back then next day). So with that history I was hesitate to try the AG700. However, all of the online comments stated that it was a totally different sounding head than the AG500 and TH350/500. So I figured what the heck. I'll give it a try.
Wow! It just totally sounds great through my Berg HD112. Nice woolly tone. Very warm and tube like. I loaded some stock nickel RW's on my Roscoe and the rig sounds just awesome!!! I used it at practice the other night and it cut through the mix great.
I'm thinking that maybe Fred has mentioned that he played through one (that figured into me trying it). Just curious if any of your other Roscoeheads use the Aguilar AG700.
Here it is .... (it even has a bright blue light from Heaven!)

Man, that is a bright one!!
I'm surprised you didn't keep the Forté, if only to have a complete Berg rig. But, I've read good things about the AG700. It would look great on top of my twin Aggie cabs. I just don't know if it would have the slam of my Mesa M6 amp. When I'm playing, I like to feel it in the chest. On a topic other than new Roscoe basses, as I've mentioned a time or two, I've been gigging live lately and in the process gotten a bit back into amps and cabinets (mainly amps). It's interesting that Aguilar currently has two 700 watt Class D amps. Do they sound that different? I suppose a lot of people prefer the Tone Hammer preamp with sweepable mids and distortion.I'm surprised too Gary. I just got through doing an A/B between the Berg Forte and the Aguilar AG700 and the tone of the Aguilar won (again) hands down. Much warmer (actually tubey) tone. Not saying that the Aguilar would be every one's choice. It's just mine (with the Berg HD112). The Berg Forte sounded good but just to bright and clear for my taste (especially when playing with a pick). The Aguilar just totally growls with my Roscoe and the HD112!

They recently added a 700 watt Tone Hammer amp. What other amp do they have that is 700 watts? I thought the TH was 500 watts?
