The TH and AG amps sound totally different. The TH500 sounded terrible with my Berg HT112. Extremely nasal sounding.
The only amp that has ever sounded bad with that cabinet. I hear guys say that they sound great through Aguilar cab's (and even some other Berg models; other than the 112). Go figure.
I'm sure that the HT and HD 112's are a bit different but I've never really have heard a huge difference in the sound between the 2 models.
One thing that I do know for sure though, the AG700 just totally kills through the HD112.
Hearing is believing!:)
The issue with the TH series is there is a learning curve. I was on a gig with one at a great venue and ended up hating it. A friend later showed me how to dial it in and I completely loved it. If you keep the gain off or super low than you get a more full sound. As you turn the gain up it cuts highs and lows and becomes mid focused. Not ideal with a lot of speakers. Once you learn how to dial those amps in they're fabulous.

Also, the AG700 is the best light weight amp I've tried. Just fabulous.

Man pics doesn’t do this justice.

I thought you went with a blue diamond wood nut?

Absolutely beautiful bass man! Congrats!!!!!
I did and he had one piece of scrap big enough but once he got into cutting it and polishing he said is was more greenish and looked terrible. So we went with the Graphite nut. I was really looking forward to the Blue Diamondwood nut myself.

You might want to share the photos of your new bass that are posted on the Roscoe Facebook page. They really show off the quilt.

It is not for sale. I posted the bass to show it off. It must have tagged it for sale automatically because I didn’t do it.

Ha! That was listed faster than I thought! :roflmao:

Seriously though, great-looking new bass that will be awesome for decades. Nice job on the build and letting Keith have his artistic input as well!

This is seriously the best bass I’ve ever had in my hands. Played with a band tonight I never play with that are really talented musicians and several times they would look over and smile with a nod or thumbs up lol. Really enjoyed playing this beauty tonight. Also the weight is 9 pounds exactly on my digital scale.

It does have a bit of a hypnotic look to it ....

I don't believe that I've seen a deeper quilt on a bass than that.

I really like the distressed finish of the rear too. Kind of a faded blue jean look.

I've found my "I don't care how heavy it is" rig (Genz-Benz GBE750/Berg HT322)

Only two things needed here JOME.....

1) have your daughters arrange for the sons-in-law to do the heavy schleping for you. Do it for them because it will make them feel useful.

2) get that "T-Shirt" that says "GET OFF MY LAWN"

A lot of folks play through class D heads exclusively. It's personal preference (like most things). My only input would be.........

You ever had someone tug/jerk your amp cable and cause your little class D amps to fall off on the floor. I hate that. Hasn't happened with my GBE 1200 yet.

:smug:;)
