How about the top wood in this case with the shim? Does it have any impact on the tone? With a thinner body core (since there is a top, a shim, a back perhaps), will there be "less" fr the core wood?
The thinner the wood, the less impact on the tone. On the Standard Plus series, there's virtually no impact on tone.
And in your experience, does the glue itself affect the tone when so many pieces are joined together.
