I ended up having the whole thing replaced on an SKB- bought a black tele electrosocket jack plate off ebay and got a new jack at the shop, as mine had been installed by the above mentioned superman

Sitting here doing exercises and I’m pretty sure this is one of the few instruments I can reach the highest fret with pinky while still keeping the thumb behind the neck and relatively in the same positioning. Access baby

Looks to me that you’ve slam Worn the finish off the back of the body near that high access area! You need to put some shoe polish on that spot!

At least it doesn’t have a cigarette burn on the headstock. That’s one thing that they could have left off of the MIM Fender Road Worn series.

It just seems to me all the wear should be where the bass comes in contact with the player’s body/hands/pick.

The electrosoclket WILL work with right angle plugs, you just have to leave off one of the washers. If you just want a different look though, that’s a different story...

I'll have my second Roscoe on Tuesday.
In addition to my LG3005 I will have a relic'd, gold, bound and blocked classic custom 5 that i just swapped for.
My first passive bass ever.
Played it today at the store where i got it from and its got a neck that feels wider than my old SKB 6 but the tone is to die for...
I'm looking forward to playing both and seeing which one wins in my goal to get to one instrument by end of 2020.

My analogy was that assigning any meaning to numbers other as just numbers is the same human phenomenon as believing in magic.

I think they are sticky relics of our lack of understanding on how the world functions. When you don't understand the only way to make the chaos sensible is to make stuff up. Others are free to believe whatever they want but i reserve the right to mine.
