Roscoe Club

Thanks guys, the Telejack won't work, I want a flat jack, not a sunken in one.

As @Fred312b mentioned, wireless/any right angle 1/4" plug will be compatible with the oem Roscoe electrosocket if you remove one of those spikey washers from the inside. That said, if you want a flat jack for aesthetic/other reasons, I'd think you'd need to cover the large, beveled recessed hole in the wood with either a football jack plate or a large, curved rectangle plate. Sounds tricky to me, but that's my comfort level of custom-bending metal talking. ;)

Thanks to you and Fred. I'll see about removing a washer when I check the jack for potential defects.

@Thumper , here was the close-up of the fitment after removing the washer - just enough of the jack poked through the electrosocket to fit any cable, especially that pesky small shure wireless plug.
I had to remove the 'locking washer' on the inside of the jack (and finagle a way to get the 'football' jack-mount screws back in) just to get this hair of clearance between my right angle plug and the football jack. I'm surprised that no one else has had this issue (on an skb, fyi).

Anyway, bass performed great on my new gig, as did the in-ears and the rest of the new gear I was rolling with. View attachment 3050702

Maybe I’m lucky or missed something, but I don’t have a problem with my Shure wireless right angle cable working in the jack of either of my Roscoe basses. I’m the first owner of one of the basses, so I know it hasn’t been modified.

Some do, some don't, my X2 angled cables dont

I really like the Chromes. I’ve been playing exclusively my two basses with Chromes installed for the past few weeks.
Today in service I played a bass with nickels and my two plucking fingers are a little sore! I think the Chromes spoiled me and made me a little soft.

Yup. My 3 (all SKB) work fine and I prefer a right-angle at the bass even when I'm wired. My 7, which I believe may be the oldest of the 3, does not have a spanner-wrench electrosocket nut, but a curved external flange affixed with wood screws, and a what appears to be a standard 1/4" socket. I've had no reason to open it to investigate further...

View attachment 3597950 I'll have my second Roscoe on Tuesday.
In addition to my LG3005 I will have a relic'd, gold, bound and blocked classic custom 5 that i just swapped for.
My first passive bass ever.
Played it today at the store where i got it from and its got a neck that feels wider than my old SKB 6 but the tone is to die for...
I'm looking forward to playing both and seeing which one wins in my goal to get to one instrument by end of 2020.

Nice looking Bass!
First thing that I'd do when it arrives is check the intonation. You rarely see a bass with all the saddles extended that much and the intonation be correct.

Very sweet! I have to ask, what are you using to elevate your cabs? Some sort of foldable stool?
Thanks!
The stacked cabs are sitting on a folding stool I bought from Wal-Mart a few years ago. Similar to this one, but mine isn't as fancy. Also, both cabinets are slanted, so no influence from the stool in that regard.
