Went to the store to make a deposit and someone already had it on layaway. I hesitated because it appeared to have been modified. The Aguilar pickups had a lot of space around them.
Anyway, this 8lb bass had the most comfortable neck I've ever held. Second would be the other Roscoe I posted about a few months ago. Apparently, these basses are really good for my style of playing. It's like the strings are right where my clumsy fingers expect them to be.
Anyway, I'll be keeping an eye on it still. Up here, Sam Ash and GC are across the street from one another and I've left my phone number at the desk, in case another Comes through.
That does look like a lot of space, and definitely not within the tolerances I would expect from Keith and his shop.
Bartolini pickups are a different dimension than Aguilar, looks like someone tried to swap them around. That's a lot of money for a no frills standard model SKB with that mod.
