For that very reason...I got excited with my first Roscoe purchase—a Classic P4. Also owning Sadowsky 5’s, everything is 19mm spacing...

I can’t play 19mm> bridge string spacing basses. I change the 19mm bridges out to 18mm on the ones Ive owned. The only 19mm-to-18mm bass I have left is the MTD KZX5, which is a very nice playing bass for the money!

Serious Roscoe Cocobolo here. Should of kept it. Amazing top, amazing fingerboard and tone for days.

I've been mostly playing my basses with flats these days so I guess it was just a matter of time when I would reinstall the Chrome flats back on my Roscoe. I reinstalled them yesterday and I've just got to say that for the bass tone that I'm hearing in my head these days these string just nail it. And they feel so much better than the wiry round wounds. I may have to order a 5 string set of the Dunlop flats to try too.
Funny thing is, I seem to keep thinking for a while that I'm back liking the sound of the nickel RW's but as soon as I play them in a gig that thought goes away.
The set of Chromes flats that I reinstalled on the Roscoe are over a year old and they still sound great IMO. They really create a totally different type growl on the Roscoe (than the RW's). I'm thinking flats and wenge might be magic!
Still fine tuning Limelight so I though that I'd give it a whirl ....... bridge pickup soloed, slight mid and treble boost (with Softtube Bass boost and funky finger repatch in Reason; gives a little OD) .

Nice to see beautiful basses on the Roscoe thread again. Although it does make me itch just a little.

Any Roscoe is a reason to be happy. I know I'm a bit of a fanboy (with Genzler amps as well) but they are all I can imagine myself playing/using. After decades of buying, selling, trying basses, Roscoes just fit me and my gigs and the "sound in my head."
3 seems a nice round number. 2 was fine and I could have been happy, but I always felt like I could use one more. Now that I have 3, a 4th seems unnecessary.
