I think my Century 5 will ship out on Monday for a PLEK job since I don’t really need it right now.

Which brings up an interesting question. At what age point does the resale price of a bass/guitar stops declining and begins to increase and surpasses the original sale price?
So, Joe, how many did you rush out to buy back in the preCBS days and have still to show your investment?![]()
Lol
I was to busy learning to ride a tricycle and bike in those days!
Don't let Joe see this beautiful 4 banger PJ?I dont know the genesis of it, but I've always seen pickups listed neck side first. I think I noticed it in guitars when they would list strat pickups (SSH, for example), and it's probably fairly accepted in the bass world as well.
I have to admit, I've never seen a bass with a J at the neck and a P at the bridge, but that would be a JP! Maybe some funky Stu Hamm model did that...

Except that Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones played a Jazz, so that would make it a JPJJ. . while at the same time, all his basses were JPJXYZs since he didn't play Roscoe. However, JPJ did have a North Carolina bass connection in that he played a Moog Taurus. JPJ kickin'!
Indeed. But I’m staying away from 6ers.Nice bass!!! Jump on that one.
Did you see the Roscoe Century Signature Buckeye Burl 6’er on Reverb? Wow!
Have any sound clips of this gig? That bass is still the nicest Roscoe I’ve seen.

Look, Joe. His tuners are 75% aligned! All great bassists . . .
Here is a video clip. The sound is off the camera mics, but if you use headphones you can hear the bass and all my flubs...
