Ok Roscoeheads,
I would like your feedback. I am going through the stages of making a Roscoe tone comparison video, and I originally thought of going through 4 tones for each bass, so I'd do like 10 second of each bass with the pickup blend 50/50, flat EQ, all the basses back-to-back. Then move on to 100% neck pickup, then 100% bridge, then like a custom setting I might use, each bass being different. The point of the video is to showcase some different Roscoes and their tone (there's very few videos on YouTube that compare Roscoes), and also function as content I would add to a future personal YouTube bass channel thing I've been thinking about.
I'm looking for comments/thoughts from you as I put this together. Right now, it's like 5 minutes long. Too long? Balance with the backing track? Other comments or things you would have rather seen (I know this particular bass part I did was rather 16th-y and staccato, so future videos can explore other styles)? Thanks all!

Very cool, one thing about bridge pickup selection is .... I think rolling the highs off and boosting a tad at 250 (low mids) creates a better bridge pickup solo tone rather than merely rolling back with everything flat. To me it’s a more useful and realistic tone you would use in a band situation. I’ll check it out thanks for doing this

True. If I make this video shorter, I will probably just feature 2 or 3 more commonly usable tones from each bass instead of the flat eq, 100% each pickup rounds. Thanks!
With Covid-19 Lockdown going on here in Kentucky I got board and decided to take some sunlight pics of the new Roscoe basses. These basses are simply fantastic in every way.
Absolute phenomenal demonstration that really demonstrated all your basses. To me my favorite 2 and is the Signature 5 string and the Standard Plus JJ bass. I actually liked the JJ bass best in all levels of playing better than the rest. For my preferred playing style at 50/50 or slightly favored to the bridge the Signature sounded so good. I will probably listen to this several times as I’m really wanting a 5JJ bass and that bass sounds great.

I suspect if I listened using some head phones I could tell more difference in the sound of your basses.
Thank you. They are quite remarkable in every way and I really enjoy playing them. The preamp additions Keith done makes these some of the most diverse I've had. Absolutely love the Vintage tone control and passive option.
Sorry for random lurker question: i cant find any examples on google, but isnt there a Century Standard design that includes a pickguard?
The classic series has a pickguard, but none of his original series (century, SKB, or LG) have pickguards.
As Skip stated, not on the Century STD.
I’m sure though that Keith would work with you on building a STD with a pick guard. I think it might be interesting to see some pick guard designs on that model. A unique style/shape might really create a unique look.
Ok. So I listened with head phones this morning. Much more definition of the tones of each bass. I was a bit surprised that my favorite overall tones were the Koa STD Plus with JJ configuration and then the Cocobolo STD Plus with P/J configuration. I really liked the tones they produced and how they sat in the mix. Maybe that was influenced by the fact that I'm playing my Fenders a lot these days but regardless they sounded the best to my ears. Don't get me wrong though, ALL of those basses sounded great! I could take any one of those fretted basses and gig and be very, very happy!

I hear what you're saying but a lot of the basses with pick guards are purely cosmetic (Jazz and Musicman to name a couple). an they do really IMO add a lot to the look of the instrument. The elliptical pick guard of the Musicman totally makes that bass IMO. That and the 3+1 head stock. I totally fell in love with that look the first time that I saw it.
I think some of our talented Roscoe "graphic designers" should do a few proto designs for us.
After all, what else you got to do while in quarantine?

I remember Gard doing some artist renderings of some century standards with pickguards, passive elec, single pickup,etc. They didn’t get much love.
Garage Band on your mac or ipad? Different instructions for each, from what I gather. Maybe a big Mac fan can give better tips, but:
