I feel your pain, I have been waiting on some Bart CB pickups and a new preamp since Janurary.
I actually talked to Keith yesterday about a possible Classic 5JJ or a Standard Plus 5JJ. He is working everyday but from the sounds of it it is a small crew and he seemed tired. I had some batteries die prematurely in my Buckeye Bass and contacted him about the issue and he is wiring up a new preamp and sending to me to swap out of it does it again. He said that he would rather replace than spend time tracing a wire that may be faulty. He’s always been proactive and more and accommodating to anything I’ve dealt with him on.
Thanks. It was posted on the Roscoe FaceBook page after they finished the Plek job. I assume they oiled the body and stuff as well. It's a better pic than I could ever take. I think my bass was one of the last things that went out before things got tight. I know he rushed it through to be sure it's get done and back to me. He turned it in less than a day. I got a call by noon my time that it was done and on it's way back to me. Superior service. The bass plays better than when it was new. And it looks amazing. I think it's one of the best looking "standard plus" basses they have made. Of course I am a bit biased.
I remember Keith building a few basses (around the time that he did yours) with the top consisting of 3 pieces. I seem to remember Gard saying that they did so because some of the nicest exhibition tops weren’t large enough to use book matched. Admittedly, at first I thought it looked a but strange to me (having been so use to the normal book matched or one piece tops) but the look has really grown on me.
Definitely one of the prettiest STD Plus basses out there!

Just a little nervous when you send something expensive to someone and don't hear back for almost 2 weeks, as before I sent it in he was turning around plek's the same day.

I think we can all agree any business right now is facing unknown times and some aren’t working at all. I’m sure Keith will take care of you. I was probably lucky to call the office phone at a time when he was in office to actually get to talk to him as I had called before and emailed with. I answer. Keith will take care of you I’m sure.
Question for my Roscoe brethren? My Buckeye bass has 2 times know had the batteries die within 2-3 months time. The last set lasted about 7 weeks or so. I can still use it is passive mode but it has to be a wire or something pulling the power continuously. Keith said he will send me a new preamp but it may be a while and I would like to fix if I can on my own. Any ideas what this could be.
Browsing the forum, people have reported seeing this from the jack and the batteries could be draining even when nothing is plugged. Maybe take look at the wiring and see if everything looks normal.
seems like I’ve read somewhere in the past that if those wires gets reversed it will pull continuously? So how many wires will be on the jack total?

With my Battery dieing issue in my Buckeye Roscoe I was able to get a few pics during lunch. Does this look like anything out of the ordinary?
If your other Roscoe is available you could compare the input jack wiring of the one that doesn’t drain the battery to the one that does. Just a thought.
worse case scenario I’ll do that but this was a job to get the jack loose and remove the lot next to the jack just to see this part. I was hoping it was something obvious that someone skilled in this area could notice lol.
Anyone know if Keith uses a mono or stereo jack? I’ve found the type in a Pure tone jack. Just not sure what type he uses.
