Why a set of each? Not sure which will look better. Or do you have another 2 Roscoe’s coming in?
I guess you can rotate them out like a woman does a purse?
Wenge set for my Koa bass and a Bubinga Set for my Buckeye with the Bubinga layer.

Just be prepared to scribe each one to fit. Gard and Keith told me that the access cut-out varies slightly from bass (as do the position of the mounting holes). I’d tell Roger to not drill the mounting holes. You can match drill when they arrive. Although it might be ok to have Roger match drill one each for the bass that the cover that you sent came from.

The CNC ROuter cuts the holes and makes the plastic covers now so I think they are all the same. I know the set I sent him fit both basses of mine perfectly.
I'm the same way, but for some reason, it doesn't bother me on someone else's bass. Pocket the savings and play the heck out of it!
Ditto! I removed the strap locks from my straps just because of those pesky things!

It's okay, Joe. We are all aware of the stress caused by selling your Roscoe basses!!
I foresee the time when Bass Vending machines will be located at music stores, where you just make your selections, options, insert your cash/credit card and in twenty minutes out comes your finished bass. But no Fenders though. The body blanks are too big and the necks are too fat!!

No owners manual for a Roscoe. Best bet is to figure out what preamp is in it and then look it up.
Well, that can be solved easily. You can just ship that bass to anyone in this thread (if you need help selecting just PM me) and they will be happy to examine the bass and writeup a nice owners manual for you.
I have the preamp figured out. Its a Bart 3 band with push pull 250/800 on the mids.
I think I will pass. Thanks though. It's not a Fender so I thought there might be some quirks that I need to be aware of.
I guess that Keith intended the build letter to be the owners manual because it detailed the woods used in construction of the bass and the control layout of the preamp installed (and of course the statement about not using tapper wound strings due to tuning issues). Not much more to say other than the fact that it utilizes a single action truss rod.
Give Keith a call and he’ll print and send you a copy of the build letter.
