There's no online manual. What size allen wrench do you use for the truss rod and is it a standard direction truss rod?

The tricksy part may be that you might need to shorten the "short leg" of the allen wrench a bit to make it work. If you have access to a grinding wheel, this is a pretty simple & straightforward job. Just knock a bit of the length off the short leg, keep a cup of water nearby to dunk it in (if you don't, you'll be reminded quickly enough), clean up the tip on the wire brush side, try to fit it into the trussrod nut, if it won't go easily, knock a bit more off....eventually it will just go in like it lives there.

These work really well and no need to grind anything down.

Sold! No grinding over here. I’m glad I’m not the only one having a problem. I thought I was a dummy last night trying to figure out how to adjust the truss rod

I've been very lucky, I guess -- un-modded standard hardware-store Allens have worked just fine in mine.
Although only the fretless gets any periodic attention - the other 2 stay 'close enough' once they settled into their strings.

I deleted my previous post about the Roscoe Allen wrenches because I realized I have two Roscoe basses and truss rod wrench for both. One does look like it was cut and I'm going to assume it came with the 2007 bass and the other, which has a normal shorter leg length, came with the 2015 bass.
Roger at THG Knobs is making me a Wenge set of covers and a Bubinga set of covers for my 2 Roscoes.

I'm the same way, but for some reason, it doesn't bother me on someone else's bass. Pocket the savings and play the heck out of it!
