I sent him an email thanks. There really isn't a way to date them based on the serial number alone. If you email Keith he can give you a rough estimate of the timeframe.

That's beautiful! Go for it, man. You will not regret it!This is the one I’m looking at.
It was great seeing you again, Ray. Thanks for meeting up and making the purchase of the XYZ bass that I bought from you last year. Enjoy it, my friend!
That one's been through a few owners, but none of them posted pics of the build sheet/letter that I have found. I'm guessing it's older since it's got Gotoh tuners and no neck volute, maybe early 2000's?This is the one I’m looking at.
It’s GC so that definitely ain’t happening! Thank you though

Edit: these guys are/were Roscoe dealers and they listed it as a 2000's bass, so now I feel better about my guess

That’s good information. I will take a closer lookI had a buddy buy that bass from GC and returned it because it had a pretty bad crack in the clear coat around the bridge. Said it was a nice bass but he showed me picks of the finish flaws. He was afraid it would turn into something much worse or need refinished.
Speaking of GC, all this talk made me search their inventory. They’ve got a pretty sweet “Spanish Maple” buckeye burl SKB 3005 listed right now.

that’s the bass we’re talking about with the crack in the finish by the bridge. See above.
Hmm, the bass I posted a link to is not the same bass @Stranger Danger had posted. Two different basses.

Well I was mistaken on the one he was asking about but the one with the finish crack was the Buckeye one you mentioned. A TB Member and buddy of mine purchased and returned it.
Could they provide the serial number which would also help to track its build sheet? This is the one I’m looking at.
