That one's been through a few owners, but none of them posted pics of the build sheet/letter that I have found. I'm guessing it's older since it's got Gotoh tuners and no neck volute, maybe early 2000's?

Edit: these guys are/were Roscoe dealers and they listed it as a 2000's bass, so now I feel better about my guess :D

It was great seeing you again, Ray. Thanks for meeting up and making the purchase of the XYZ bass that I bought from you last year. Enjoy it, my friend!

What’s up with the XYZ bass language Gary?
Tell us what Ray bought from you! :)
Did he get that Zon fretless back?!?
That sorry rascal!

I hope that you guys wore masks during the purchase. Especially Ray because I’m sure that he stole it from you!:roflmao:

I had a buddy buy that bass from GC and returned it because it had a pretty bad crack in the clear coat around the bridge. Said it was a nice bass but he showed me picks of the finish flaws. He was afraid it would turn into something much worse or need refinished.

That’s good information. I will take a closer look

To be fair, you might be able to leverage the damage. I ordered a Roscoe from GC that looks like it was dropped, and they knocked $800 off the price because of that. I emailed Roscoe, and they said they would refinish it for $450. Thinking about it one way, I could have gotten a bass with a brand new finish for still $300 off of the original asking price.

I ended up getting it sealed up locally for like $60 bucks. It doesn't look pretty, but it's smooth and functional, plus I saved $700 bucks off of what they wanted for it. You might see if they will adjust the price because of the cracking.

that’s the bass we’re talking about with the crack in the finish by the bridge. See above.

Hmm, the bass I posted a link to is not the same bass @Stranger Danger had posted. Two different basses.

Well I was mistaken on the one he was asking about but the one with the finish crack was the Buckeye one you mentioned. A TB Member and buddy of mine purchased and returned it.
