Roscoe Club

Outdoor farmers market gig this morning. Masked and distanced. Vibes, guitar, drums and me for some jazz standards. Took the P with flats and the Genzler MG350/Tall 12 combo with the LA-1A in front. Sounded amazing. Many compliments.

Meanwhile, there was some good noise on the Real Roscoe Guitars FB page, where our buddy Keith Roscoe was foregoing some quiet, working well into Saturday night on his next batch of special basses.

He also shared some interesting info on a prototype that is expected to make its way to production. Good news

I noticed something very interesting in his latest post also!:hyper:

So is this what you 2 were referencing on the Roscoe Face Book page?

"Actually these are the first two orders. Pretty classy for this style of bass. Also I would like to mention that we have been asked several times about making a 34” five string Classic and yep, we have one coming out. The neck gets tucked in about 3/4” and the bridge comes forward about 1/4”, so no big changes. Should have some prototypes to post soon."

If not, it's certainly worthy to post here on TB. That's a big deal. Lot's of folks have been asking for a 34" scale Roscoe Classic 5.

The ash LG3005 is mine!

Oh yeah!

Happy Labor Day Roscoeheads!
How ironic is it that we celebrate folks that Labor and I graduate from having to do it!:hyper: :bassist: :hyper: :bassist: :hyper: :bassist:

I’ve been celebrating since 2015!!
I’ll be glad when my wife’s job opens back up! It’s hard sneaking in new basses with her being home all the time.

Ding Ding Ding. Correct
Keith's son has his own Roscoe Decal now (at least on Roscoe guitars). Cool!
I concur. So much coolness in that!

Just worked out a deal with Keith to install Nordstrand DC Pickups in my Buckeye Bass along with a Nordie preamp. I love the tone of the Bart’s in smaller settings but at times in a really busy band mix it can get lost. This Nordie setup is the same as . .
Something, something XYZ. Here we go again. Yep, that Nordie setup would likely make a 2x4 bass sound great.

As far as Barts getting lost in a band mix? You're kidding right? Thousands of happy Bart users across many bass brands will disagree. And, yet you contradict and disagree with your own recent prior comments about Roscoe Barts being "the best you've ever heard."

Maybe someone would benefit from trained, competent FOH engineers helping them with their sound? Otherwise, a poor carpenter blames his tools.

Got my Roscoe back after sending to have the Bart’s put in it and made a big difference in tone IMO.
Weren't some of your custom spec'd Nordies just replaced with Roscoe Barts?

I know that tone is subjective but what is the best sounding bass you've heard or played? For me I've owned a lot of basses that sounded really nice but the kicker for me is always how they sit in a mix. For me the Roscoe Bart equipped basses with certain woods like Ash body and Ebony is pure tonal heaven
