Roscoe Club

So before I tried cutting my index finger off I had started recording some samples of my Roscoe loaded with the Nordstrand preamp and DR Black Beauty strings.
I didn’t finish it and didn’t listen to it until this morning but man does the recorded tone sound great!
I’ll have to finish it and post it when my finger heals. The finger and slap style tones are just killing!

No doubt, Nordstrand preamp in a Roscoe is magic!! I have Chromes on mine, but the tones are awesome.

You know your positive energy to get back to playing your Roscoe will heal your finger faster!! What is it down to, about 3 1/2 weeks left?

You guys. . Your mods are like:

adding curb feelers,

landau tops,

fuzzy dice,

pin stripes,

white wall tires,

underbody lighting kits,

hub cap spinners,

etc. .

to a Ferrari.

I hear ya, Fritz. I appreciate the builders that take the time to make wooden covers. Prolly adds a few bucks to the cost, but it really looks nice, even if I'm the only one that sees it. I wish Keith would add that as an option. And a chambered body, since he doesn't care what a bass weighs. IMHO, guys.

Anyway, Joe the covers look great.

Still no use of my index finger on my left hand but I did manage to 3 finger a chordal part to the soundtrack I was working on. No fancy playing here but IMO it does demo the sound of the Nord pre coupled with the Roscoe Bart p/u's (and new DR Black Beauty strings). I'll add a few more solo parts after I heal for now this will have to do ......

The song title is inspired by the 2020 Presidential election.:)

I just sent an email re: a fretless LG 3000. Simple build; standard series with black hardware being the only option (I also asked about 33" scale, we'll see what they say).

Anyone have any input on preferred electronics etc? Are they still doing the slanted pickups? I feel like that would be awesome for fretless.

For fretless Roscoe Bart’s SB’s with Bart 3 band pre. Nothing else will do!:)

Also, hopefully Keith has a piece of Diamondwood left for a finger board. It really sings!
And yes, the slanted p/u’s still are standard on the LG model (although I’ve never noticed any sound difference verses the straight).

Cool slanted pickups a must for the cool factor imo.

Tbh I'm not super ecstatic about the dry look of the diamond wood boards I've seen online, but I'm sure the guys know what they're doing.
