Roscoe Club

Keith must be having a hard tome as he's always been one to get back to emails but lately it's impossible to get a response from him.

I’ve always found that This time of year (Thanksgiving and Christmas) are the hardest times to get new build info and delivery from Roscoe (and other luthiers). It seems that when we get to this time of year everyone wants their bass finished and delivered before the first of the year. Plus everyone’s got family events interrupting their work.
Just remember, sooner or later it’ll be there in “two more weeks”!

I figured you had a direct line :D

Looking on FB, they are pumping out the basses (lots of the Classic ones, which surprises me, but hey, if that's what people are buying, good for Keith & Co.) and looks like the got a new guy to do wiring, so I doubt they're just sitting around doing nothing, and in all honesty, I am not in NEED of my bass at the moment, but every now and then I remember how long they've had it and I get antsy. Fortunately, there's plenty of other day to day stuff to take my mind off it...

Just say a post on FB where moving the shop was mentioned. Didn't they just move a while back?

He mentioned last summer that they acquired the whole building instead of just half, and that he and his wife were thinking about combining some wood storage and tools.

Not sure how common this knowledge is, but Keith's wife (Catina) is as well known, probably even more so, in the custom furniture design/building business as he is a luthier.

Hey Roscoeheads! Been a while since I visited this fantastic thread. Had two Roscoe's back in the day but the 35" scale just not for me but THE tone..mahgoodness! Anyhoot, if anyone is selling a 34" LG or SKB please PM me. Also, I didn't know they made 34" on the standards. Is this a new option? Years ago when I inquired I could swear that the standards had to be 35" with no exceptions. Thanks in advance!

Now days any combination of options are available. And I mean any!:)

Finally talked Keith into building me a Roscoe with my Ebony fretboard and Nordstrand Preamp and pickups. Almost finished and looking good. Will have DC pickups and coil taps with Series-Parallel-single coil and Tone control also.
