Roscoe Club

I wish he had more options regarding exposed pole pieces. I can't stand them. I'd have Nords in all of my Roscoes if that was a viable option. I switched over to CB's since they seemed close to the openess of the Nord pickups.
he will custom cover the exposed coil pickups with a plastic cover if ordered that way. You can get any of them with plain plastic shell.

I have a Century Standard 4 PJ coming in this week that is all Aguilar. I’m not crazy about Aguilar and would love to swap it out for an all Bartolini job. Anyone tried a Bart PJ setup?
I've got a Bart PJ setup in my fretted LG3005- I am a big fan.

But I’m also leaning heavily towards an all Nordstrand rig. :)

Nordstrand pickups and preamps is just a whole other level of awesomeness. IMO you can’t beat Carey’s designs.

I’ve found that the Nordstrand preamps work equally well with other manufacturers pickups (not just Nordstrand).
I’ve got one in my Roscoe with Roscoe Bart’s p/u’s and I have one in my Fender Elite with Fender Noiseless Gen 4 p/u’s and both sound just awesome.
You may want to leave the Aggie p/u’s in and try a Nord pre first. That may just be the bees knees.:)

You know Nordstrand Preamps are stellar if they can make a F***** sound good lol. I just had to do it.

But wouldn’t those be passive F**** basses?

That’s right. They don’t even need a preamp to sound great (which I rarely use because the Nord pre has such a great passive sound) but if you like more modern sound you can use the active mode.

And you really should learn how to spell Fender Ray.;)
