For sure. And back when I got mine, about 8-9 years ago, I really believe they were THE best value in the bass world.
Any of my Roscoe brethren familiar with a wenge fingerboard? Just wondering is there a lot of upkeep. Thanks!
I’ve always just used lemon oil to maintain the ‘board, but other than that, they’re about the same as a rosewood in my experience

As a former Dingwall owner I agree. And I prefer the sound of my Roscoes.
I’ve used lemon oil for many years and never noticed anything like that. Are you wipe it down good with a clean soft cloth after you apply it?

Lemon oil products are basically mineral oil with lemon color and fragrance added, along with chemical drying agents. Although the fingerboard will look beautiful when first applied, the drying agents will eventually dry out the wood more than if you had never oiled it in the first place."

For my non-sealed wood fingerboards I use either Fretboard Finishing Oil or Howard Feed-N-Wax once a year or sooner, if needed, on a bass when I change the strings.

I wish my Roscoe was passive, I've been over active basses for 5+ years. I did put Ptone PUPs in my Dingwall and it did add character to the tone.
I like active basses (my favourite Dingwall I've played was a Prima) but my one complaint about my Roscoes is there is no active/passive switch in case of battery failure.
I have a beautiful Dingwall Super J, but I’m planning to sell it.
The Super series are 35” scale on the B, and go down to 32” on the G. It’s comfortable, sounds good and the B string is great, but the Roscoe is on a completely different level.
Despite the high quality of the Dingwall, I find just about every aspect of the Roscoe to be superior. So the Dingwall is just sitting around in its case now.

Seems as though many who have or have tried both seem to prefer the Roscoe. Guess that'll help keep my G.A.S. in check.
Keith put a push/pull active/passive volume knob in my LGs, both the new one when he built it and the fretless that I sent back for a preamp change and a Plek job.
All one needs to do is ask. But it would be nice if it was a standard thing.
