Yes but I normally let it set for few minutes to soak.
This is what I’ve used the last 9-10 years:
ColorTone Fretboard Finishing Oil - StewMac
I’ve had the same bottle for that entire time.

Lemon oil?
Per Roger Sadowsky, who knows a thing or two -
"The most commonly used product and the one to NEVER USE is any kind of Lemon Oil product. Lemon oil products are basically mineral oil with lemon color and fragrance added, along with chemical drying agents. Although the fingerboard will look beautiful when first applied, the drying agents will eventually dry out the wood more than if you had never oiled it in the first place."

I believe you are correct on the trussrod.Quick question: The trussrods on Roscoes are not dual-action, right?
I ask because I've put TIs on my SKB6s (flats on fretless and jazz on fretted) and the strings are pretty low. I wanted to raise them a bit from the fret/fingerboard and noticed the trussrod is zeroes out.
Guessing the result of low tension of the TIs, maybe?
Thanks man! Its a tough choice I really like allMan, that shot of the forearm cut is just almost too beautiful to ever look away from! What a great choice of boards you are getting!
I have TI flats on my fretless SKB 5 (thanks Jim) and they are perfect. But I tried them on a fretted SKB 6 and not so much. I had a difficult time getting the setup right and switched back to round wounds.
Glad she has found such a good home

Anyways, after the USPS holding this hostage for 4 days, my Nordy pre finally arrived. I dig the minimalist packaging

After talking to Joe a few weeks ago about the tone on my Century 5, he recommended swapping the Bart pre for this one. Of course, he also sold that bass
I think first I’ll try having the Barts wired in with both sets of wires connected, but then I have to decide if I want to go the Joe and Ray route of Bart pickups and Nordy pre, or the Shane route and go all Nordstrand. And then sell the bass.
Won’t be until at least next week though, so don’t hold your breath.
