 I've been using the RSII that came with my Upton Hybrid last fall with good results, but lately it's been distorting on the E string. Eric installed it in the bridge, so I doubt it's a problem with the fit. I'm running it direct into a GK MB150s that sounds just fine with the slab, so it's not the amp.

Also, it just started doing this recently.
Anybody else had this experience?

I suspect you've already checked this but it's important to be sure that the cable is not vibrating against anything, especially down by the tailpiece. Also, sometimes an adjustment of the connector will solve vibration problems.

It is also possible that the fit has changed as a result of temperature and humidity variations combined with just moving the bass around. If you haven't done this already, remove and re-insert the RS-II. Is it now too snug or too loose?
