I just replaced the worn-through rubber foot on a student's bass. How'd I do? That the foot at the bottom and the peg at the top. I didn't put the foot on further - there is still a little of the foot that isn't over any of the peg, but it doesn't seem wobbly because the foot is pretty rigid and it is most of the way on.
