not to confuse the topic but for smaller venues I did gig a rumble 200 combo, then rumble 500 head with 115 cab. it was good, but did a semi crossgrade to an aguilar 500 on a trade keeping the rumble115 cab. so much better Imo

My concern has nothing to do with mixing 12s and 15s.
How about I ask this way - has anyone moved from the Fender Rumble 200 combo to the 200 head and 115 cab? How does the tone differ?
R100 up are lined. R40 and smaller aren't.Check if your combo is fully lined. It can reduce the boxy type tone.
Old man @GonePlaid will know, are they usually lined properly mate?
