After reading through three pages here and spending hours on You Tube Tutorials I thought I would post here.
I was able to get the Studio 40 connected to Reaper with the Fender ASIO driver (thanks to @Diver over in the Rumble Club). This is on a laptop PC running Win 10.
I am still struggling with setting up Reaper. All I want to do is play bass through the Studio 40 along with backing tracks and record them. Reaper appears to be a very complex but capable program. Perhaps my problem is not understanding the terminology in DAW's along with Reaper's multitude of options.
I would like to record my own backing tracks from CD's I have, using EQ/High Pass filters to eliminate the existing bass lines on the CD's. It would also be great if I could match the pitch from the CD's to the tuning on the bass. I thought I could record my CD's in a track in Reaper, with filters for EQ and/or High Pass. Then, play bass through the Studio 40 along with the track in Reaper, and record the song.
My many attempts at this have resulted in no sound or, sound for the backing track only in the right channel and no bass through it's channel. I don't know if I need a separate audio interface?
I obviously need some help on this and, if anyone can point me in the right direction, I would be very thankful. Heck, with all the hours I have spent on this, I would be willing to pay for support
