Rush Tribute content

A friend of mine, who happens to be one of my bass mentor, had put together a Rush tribute show a few years ago. They are touring mainly the province of Quebec, Canada.

Before you criticize the vocals, please know that Mathieu is mainly a bass player (not a singer) and he is french canadian, with accent of course.

Rush isn't my favorite band, but I hope you will, like me, enjoy Mathieu's great live bass playing.

Great band. Singer is not as bad as most.....tough to cover Geddy. He actually nails the non-screaming parts pretty well. Bass tone is amazing....did he collect every Geddy bass? Was that a Wal?? Nice!

WOW!! Thanks you guys for your good words! I appreciate it!
Yes, I try to be "historical" in my bass choice for the Tribute. The WAL is a new member of my collection... I discovered Rush with "A Show of hands" so it a Dream come tru for me. I Also use the Double neck bass-guitar in old rush songs for many rythm guitar parts (ex: 2112 solo, bytor's 2nd solo etc.)

Great stuff, Mathieu! Do you have an L2 for any "Grace Under Pressure" stuff you do?

/EDIT: Oh wait, you did "Red Sector A" in the video, didn't you...
I had a L2 but didn't enjoy playing with it... So i take the wal from Grace under pressure to roll the bones... I personal think that jazz bass, rick And wal are the basses that represent every "bass tone era"
But my guitar player made a "Hentor Sportcatser"
