Seen em on a couple of Kays, but far from standard.
You think it was standard for that model?

Got them on my M-2, but it's not original neck so could've come from anywhere I supppose.

drurb, I remember reading somewhere that the posts are glued in place.

On the Chadwick Folding Bass the sound post has small pins protruding from the ends of the sound post to keep it properly located.
